The Ministry of Finance brief proposed a Rajaswa Bhavan on a prominent Delhi site. The agenda: a structural mobius skin that enclosed the programme as one seamless surface. The challenge: fabricate the skin in metal for a scaled model — which was overlayed by dividing it into two parts and welded together manually, a diagrid mapped onto a digital model.
A competition entry that turned the design problem into a fabrication problem — and answered both.
